![]() Where are you from in Canada? I live in Scarborough. Where are you from in Canada? I live in Scarborough.Feel free to email me if there's anything you think I can Work It was a pain and time consume process to diagnosed this problem. I openned up all the wiring harnesses all the way to the ECU to the injectors and the starter but I finally found that the RED wire from this connecter was pinched by a metal clamp bolted on the engine. Now, I'm putting it back all together since it started yesterday and just to do major tune up since it was sitting for almost a year.īy the way, the problem I had why it one of the fusible link was melting there was a short circuit in the connetor of the orange relay (Safety relay). I aslo bought a used power transistor and ECU before just to test if this were the culprits but didn't do any good. In my orignal posting, I've tried everything including swapping the distributor assembly but it didn't help at all so I kept my orginal distributor assembly. I just know some basic stuff but it took me many almost a year to figure it out. Just to let you know, I'm not a mechanic and not formal experience on cars. Check my first posting about this problem, I've been working on it months and I finally got it started yesterday. I decided to buy this used one because my car has been sitting for almost a year next month. I checked the delear and I was told that it's $650 plus taxes which was way too much on my budget. Its will end up costing more money in the end.Well! I got mine from one of the guys in the ZCLUB 6months ago and paid $250 CAD. then i will try to just turbo my N/A engine. If i could find a nice turbo engine that is in running order for the same price as buying the parts for this one, why wouldn't i do that? But yes if i end up buying another car or at least get a turbo engine, the crossmember, etc. That's the main reason i want to do the swap. All of that combined is going to cost $600-$1000(CDN) to buy. Plus putting it back together will require a full gasket kit. The main rod bearings need replacing as well as my oil pump. Not the most major things but they are things that will cost some good money to fix. Yes there is some things wrong with the current engine. The procedure is simple and I have outlined it below. The issue with the newer PRW-2 is that there are two wires that have been flipped, or two contacts that need to be swapped on the Z31 harness. ![]() You will still need to swap the crossmember and change all of the other parts necessary for the NA2T swap, but you can at lease save a bit on the engine this way. Installation The PRW-2 is not exactly pug and play but close. ![]() It's not an ideal combination for a maximum effort performance set-up, but should work very well for a moderately modified street driven car. Obviously an intercooler will be a must for this setup, but you probably planned on doing that anyway. Is there anything wrong with your current engine? The reason I ask is that a lot of the guys on the site seem to prefer turbo charging the N/A engine for better off boost performance due to the higher compression. Sure would be convenient to get one in canada. The ecu would of course have to be swapped out so i will definilty let you know if I am in need of one. Im more concerned with connecting it to my transmision, mounting it in my car, and having the space for it all to fit. What i plan on doing if at all possible is getting a full and working VG30ET engine so it should already be running and working. Also im not sure if you know exactly what I'm asking about. I would have to say that you need turbo manifolds (or possibly just the left side) The turbocharger of course, turbo oil pan (or modify yours) oil line and fittings, some plumbing for the air intake and the pressure pipe (or custom intercooler) and exhaust. Hey there, where abouts in the Great White North are you eh?Īlthough I don't have direct experience in your exact swap I do know a bit about Vg30's and their electronics.
